Text Box: A very testing course on land more suitable for extreme, rather than resort, golf. Both loops of 9 feature holes running along and over a ravine, occasionally hosting winter torrents. Robinson’s trademark of large splashes of bunkering, generally on the edge of play, often adds visual character. Some large, occasionally undulating, greens. Buggies and a good supply of balls essential.

4 red: the design of the hole is out of proportion (very narrow fairway for the drive; very wide fairway for the second shot) and unreasonably difficult - the option of driving across the river from the members' tee is also too difficult an alternative to be reasonable.

11 red: an uphill carry of some 250yds is required from the back tee to reach the fairway. Drives falling short of the fairway generally bounce left, too often rolling into the ravine. Even from the next tee forward only the best of drives will reach the fairway. A pity, because the design of the rest of the hole is good.

18 red: the severity of the land used for this hole is more suited to skiing than golf.
